Gmelius : Better & Cleaner Gmail

Gmelius is a poly-browser extension that removes ads in Gmail™ and enhances Gmail’s UI.

No more ads in your Gmail. Simple, light and efficient. The only extension out there that removes completely all the ads you can find on Gmail and does much more (see UI optional features below).

Remove all ads in your Gmail, that is:

1  No ads at the top of your inbox, i.e. web clips
2  No ads at the right of your message
3  No ads at the bottom of your message
4  No Google Products/Services ads in the footer
5  Hide Invite a Friend Field

UI optional features (version 4.*):

1    Move "Contacts" and "Tasks" to top navigation bar
2    Make Header (i.e. Search Block & Logo) auto-expandable *
3    Make Gmail your default Email Client, i.e. open all email links with Gmail
4    Remove the "People Widget" and use the space left to read/write your emails
5    Remove Chat
6    Remove Status of your contacts in Chat
7    Remove scroll bars in Chat and Preview Pane (Lab)
8    Remove Footer
9    Remove "Consider including" when writing your emails
10  Disable the default row highlight added by Gmail Ad Remover
11  Change the color of row highlight on mouse over

♠ About the Permissions:
This extension will never access, read, store, or transmit your personal data.

The "This extension can access your data on all websites" warning comes from the optional feature which replaces all "mailto:" links in websites you visit and opens them with Gmail via a short script. By leaving this option unchecked, you won't make use of the latter script.

The "Your tabs and browsing activity" comes from  the fact that this extension modifies the style and UI of Gmail within your browser and so needs to know whether Gmail is open in your browser (i.e. tabs) to apply those changes.

Try it now in Google Chrome!
